- Creating submittal shop drawings for items such as Cabinetry, Reception desk, wall paneling, doors & frames, window & other custom millwork items
- Creating layouts/ cut tags for the shop to produce machine & build from
- Creating CNC programs to machine parts for said layouts
- Used programs: Microvellum, AutoCAD, Alphacam, ShopPAK
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 2 years experience with Microvellum or AutoCAD
- An understanding of cabinet construction
- An understanding of how to read Architectural drawings
- Experience with Alphcam is a plus

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITY:
-Review architectural drawings and specs to perform full labor and material take-off utilizing BlueBeam and ProjectPAK.
-Provide millwork budgets, bids and change order pricing for variety of project sizes ($10K to $10M)
-Negotiate projects with various Bay Area general contractors
-Negotiate projects with various Sacramento Area contractors
-Manage gross margin to company expectations
-Set expectations and qualify/exclude scope to company standards
-Source specialty materials and pricing
-Review subcontractor quotes for buyout scope
-Review material quotes from vendors
-Communicate millwork scope clearly with employees and customer
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
-Full competence in reading and understanding all construction documents
-Minimum 5 years of millwork/cabinetry estimating experience
-Well organized and detail oriented
-Demonstrated problem solving and decision making ability
-Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
-Excellent computer skills (Excel, Outlook, BlueBeam)
-Able to effectively communicate/explain scope to architects, designers, general contractors, -subcontractors and vendors
-Experienced in high-end custom architectural millwork scope

-Manage subcontractor budgets and schedule
-Design assist with GC/Architect/Owner
-Review contract docs for scope and exclusions
-Build and maintain relationship with General Contractor and Architects
-Review and track all submittals
-Coordinate with field and production
-Research materials and problem solve field conditions
-Maintain database for submittal tracking
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
-Bay Area General Contractor knowledge
-Sacramento Area General Contractor knowledge
-Strong computer skills and Microsoft Suite
